Copics Colour Challenge #10

It's time for another Copics Colour Challenge! The colors we were asked to use this time around were:
I had the B39 (Prussian Blue), though, mine is a LOT darker than the color swatch...a LOT darker. A girlfriend sent me an image that she stamped, scanned, then saved as a .jpg and I thought it would be perfect for testing out in this challenge. Here's what I ended up with:

I used a 5x7 black pre-made base, some distressed pink paper by My Mind's Eye, the image from Sharron (thank you, Sweets!), my COPICS (of course), white gel pen, and a font called "Patty Whack" from Lettering Delights (wording is mine). The three Dew Drop impersonators are my "glue stick dew drops" colored on the bottom side with B39 (that's a neat little trick I'll have to share with you later!). COPIC colors used were - 0, B39, E00, E02, BG10, Y26, RV11, BG72, YG03, Y21, & Y11.

Sorry! It's been too long

MIBAD! I'm still struggling with the exhaustion issue, but I still should have at least checked in. I'm trying to get my Angel Company blog & e-store up and running, but it's a slow go. A couple of weeks ago, I received a lovely card from Holly -- she wasn't crazy about it but I WAS. She kept thinking that it needed something & said that if I could figure it out, rock on. Well, I stared at it for about 3 days...it DID need something, but every element that Holly had already put on there was SO PRETTY & I didn't want to take away from that OR the focal of the epoxy over the color on the stamp. Then it hit me...it needed MORE. Not more STUFF, but MORE BLUE. I know, I know - are you crazy?!? Answer: YUP! Abso-freakin-lutely! *LOL*

Here's what Holly's card looked like when I got my hot little hands on it...And here's what it looks like now that I'm done with it. I took my blender tool from Ranger & added some Weathered Jeans Distress ink to it...EVERYWHERE!
So, Holly, did I do okay?

Played with stamps yesterday

Didn't make any cards, but I did manage to whip out quite a few ATCs to go on cards when my "round-to-its" come in. I'm still trying to come back from this strep & it's tough, but I'm just going one day at a time. My thing is trying to work in "spurts" - I'll have energy for about 1-2 hours, then I absolutely have to lay down or risk passing out. I'm so used to just going all blooming day that this is really hard to deal with. Anyway, enough of my rambling, here are some pieces that I made (stamps are from Imaginesce and Lil See Ds, colored with pencils and odorless mineral spirits & copic markers)...

I made a few more with my new stamps from The Angel Company. You can see those pieces here.

Hello!

Hope your Sunday is going nicely. I've finally been able to sit & craft for a bit, after an entire week of being bed-ridden. Gosh, but it felt SO GOOD!! I played with some of my new stamps from The Angel Company & made a card for my aunt and one for my mother-in-law, who both had birthdays last week.

Isn't she the CUTEST?!? I just love my little sweet-faced cows. This stamp set is called "An'udder Birthday?" (TAC # T-2642 $10.95) You can bet that I'll be showing you more cards with these bovine beauties!

I used 2 ATC blanks, stamped the cow print all over one, the cow & sentiment on the other one; colored with my Copics (found out the hard way that our Palette ink tends to bleed a bit with the Copic markers); a piece of K&Co double-sided paper; a strip of dark green double-sided paper (not sure of mfr); then took and mounted them on a black 6"x12" base folded in half.

This sweetie is from a set called "Seeds of Blessing" (TAC # T-2544 $19.95)

I used a white pre-made A2 card base; Cuttlebug "Script" folder on a piece of gray pearlized cardstock; stamped image & sentiment on an ATC blank; colored with pencils & odorless mineral spirits; rhinestone swirl from Wal-Mart; silver embossed flowers from Prima. Normally, since I used images from The Angel Company, I'd have them over at my other blog, but I didn't use papers from TAC, so I decided to post them here. Now to get them addressed & ready for the mailman in the morning...

Thanks for stopping by & have a great rest of your day!!

I'm back!

Hey All! I hate to say it, but I've been down again! Rotten timing, too. I had JUST received my start-up package last Friday evening from The Angel Company and was SO JAZZED about it, went to bed feeling a bit "off," & woke up Saturday with no voice, a throat on fire & so swollen I couldn't swallow anything, and a fever. Slept the entire weekend. Got up on Monday, got the boys to school, and went in to the doctor - STREP! He said that because of my pancreas issues over the last 5 weeks, it weakened my immune system. When the kids come in with a sniffle, sneeze, or cough, my body is going to take it and make something big and ugly. Boy did it ever! I'm just NOW to where I can stand upright for more than five minutes, voice is stronger but leaves me when I least expect it, and I can finally eat a bit (5 days with nothing more than jello & water BITES). He did say it was going to take me a good 3-5 months to get my body back to normal, so today, the first that I've been able to sit at my computer & do more than turn it on, I plan to research some things to build my immune system & help out the ole pancreas.

Hopefully, I'll have some projects for you that should have been done by last weekend. I also see that my visitor counter has just passed the 5,000 hit mark - Yeah for me!! {may have to see if I have enough stash for a blog candy giveaway...} I'm also about 80 days out till my 1st anniversary here {hmmmm....TWO opportunities for yummy treats to be passed around...}. Gonna hafta do something about this!!
